Dave Matthews Band — North Charleston Coliseum 11.17.2010

The Dave Matthews Band returned to Charleston last evening for a rockin’ show at the North Charleston Coliseum. This was the bands first concert in the area since they played at Joe Riley Stadium on July 4, 2008.

The set list on paper may not be as appealing to die-hard fans as some recent shows, but overall there was great mix of the classic tunes, new album songs, and extended jams that are the hallmark of their live shows.  The crowd ate it all up, singing and dancing along to most everything. And props to the opening band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, who set the tempo for the evening with a horn heavy, jazz/hip-hop sound that got everyone movin’ and groovin’.

The photos here are from the Coliseum’s Facebook page. They have a gallery of Dave doing this funny, quirky, charismatic thang throughout the night. Lowcountry Today also has a more detailed wrap-up of last night’s festivities.

Set list is below. You’ll notice they dropped #41 which is disapointing to say the least.

  1. I was on the floor. No seats. Coulda made it to the stage but didnt do it
