Blue Angels – Charleston Harbor 4.17.2010

If you didn’t make it out to see the Blue Angels air show over the Charleston Harbor, you more than likely heard them at some point over the weekend. I made it down to the Patriot’s Point by bike for the Saturday performance. It was an impressive display of precision, skill, courage and trust. And it was LOUD! A few of the closer passes rattled your bones, but in an awesome way. For some detailed info on the Blue Angels you can check out this handy FAQ to learn things like the top speed the planes reach during their performance is 700mph and the average age of the pilots is 32. Below is some video from the show.
