Liberty National Golf Club
The first round of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs begins this Thursday with The Barclays. The new site for the tournament is they very picturesque Liberty National Golf Club. Located in Jersey City, NJ, the exclusive club is perched on the Hudson River and offers breathtaking vistas of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. The $150 million course was built on a former landfill and is one of the most expensive golf courses in history. If you are interested in joining, membership fees run around $500,000. For a cool, interactive look at the course, check out the official course website.

Team USA Wins Solheim Cup
Congrats and kudos to Team USA for capturing the Solheim Cup over the weekend. The incredibly entertaining 3-day match against the European team was filled with great drama and even greater golf. The lovely ladies of Team USA showed a lot of pride and poise in holding off the pesky European team who came into the biennial event heavy underdogs. Photo by David Cannon/Getty Images Europe.
