If you use Google Maps at all then you may have already noticed a new button next to the Map and Satellite view buttons. The ‘More…’ button brings up two options, one for photos, and one for Wikipedia. Choosing photos will bring up dozens and dozens of thumbnail photos of the area you are searching. Take a look at Charleston. There are some great pictures of the harbor, the Ravenel Bridge and Shem Creek. The Wiki option offers some facts and tidbits about points of interest. There is also supposedly a video option as well, but I haven’t seen any looking around the Charleston area.
Nothing too mind blowing but cool new features to useful applications is always a good thing. You can get a more detailed description of these features and screenshots here.
